How are you, really?

Investing In Your Wellbeing How are you?

Maybe like me you haven’t even had a moment to stop and think recently. We don’t often have time to step off the treadmill of life and work and reflect on how we are really doing.

We have check ups all the time - an MOT for our car, we get our eyes tested, we go to the dentist, some of us have routine medical check ups for ongoing conditions.

The purpose of checks ups is to make sure nothing serious is missed and that everything is working as it should. None of us want to be driving on the outside lane of the motorway and suddenly discover a major problem under the bonnet.

However we’re often moving through life at a 100 miles an hour and rarely taking a moment to pause.

A LOT

has happened in the last 3 months.

There has been an abnormal amount to process mentally and emotionally!

For many of us, our diaries are starting to fill up again and the temptation is to put our heads down and keep going.

However just like our bodies need to rest after a marathon, our mind and our soul needs rest.

Why not take a moment this coming week to find some quiet, uninterrupted time and consider the following questions:

1. How are you doing...

Physically, mentally and emotionally

2. What does thriving look like for you?

On the podcast this week I chat with Zoe about the small things we can do to make a big difference to how we feel and therefore how we cope and react to the people and needs around us.

If you would like some further help exploring some new habits and rhythms to invest in your physical, mental and emotional health, then you might find this Wellbeing Toolkit helpful.

The Toolkit looks at physical, mental and emotional health in turn and unpacks some key things things to consider prioritising. It will also help you create a simple Wellbeing Plan that you can start implementing straight away.

Why not share with someone what you discover? No MOT should be a solo experience. ___________________________________________________________ Zoe is a Personal and Executive Coach for busy working mums who want to be at their best for their family and their work. www.zoedickinson.org zdcoaching@icloud.com
